My Current Blog - From RaNae's Studio

This is where I've kept my blog since updating my website to Shopify in December 2017. Here you'll  find current news, ideas, tutorials, recipes, photos and other things you might find interesting. Think of it like sitting around my kitchen table and chatting while we quilt. Come and hang out with me!

This is where I kept my studio blog up until I integrated the blog with the updated website. You'll find the same kinds of things that you'll find on my current blog, but the last post is dated December 2017.

The Spiromaniacs Blog began as the "laboratory" for writing my first book, Simply Amazing Spiral Quilts, and now lives on as the online supplement to the book. Like the Spiromandalas Blog, it contains the "behind-the-scenes" story of the development of many of the quilts in that book. There is a list of corrections to the first printing of the book (the page will tell you how to know if you have it), and a free download to update from the first edition to the second edition.

Like the Spiromaniacs blog, the Spiromandalas Blog began as the workshop for writing my second book, Magnificent Spiral Mandala Quilts, and it has lived on as the online supplement to the book. Besides viewing the 40+ quilts featured in the book, you can read the details of how each design was developed. I also share here pictures of mandala quilts that other quilters share with me.  There is a free download to update from the first edition to the second edition.

The Sideways Spirals Blog was the workshop for my third book, Sideways Spiral Quilts: Design and Sew Chains, Ropes and Ribbons, and like the other two books/blogs, it remains as the online supplement to that book. Get up close and personal with each of the quilt makers and their sideways spiral quilts.
