Skill Level: All levels
Prerequisites: Basic sewing skills

Learn to design and sew your own original Baravelle spiral block. Baravelle spirals are one of the simpler types among the four Simply Amazing Spirals. They have huge "Wow!" factor, yet you won't believe how easy they are! Using the techniques in RaNae's best-selling book Simply Amazing Spiral Quilts, learn to create a Baravelle spiral block, plus a variety of ways to color them -- including double-spinning spokes. Along the way you'll learn a technique for paper piecing that makes it easier than ever. A pattern is provided for finishing blocks into pot holders.

(This class has been expanded to include new designs with Baravelle Spirals. It can be taught as a full-day class or a half-day class. In the full-day class students will have time to design and complete the spiral block and we will have time to cover ways to set Baravelle spirals in quilt layouts and how to quilt spirals. In the half-day version students will design the block and will sew enough to learn how, but will probably not have time to complete it in class.)

Class kit includes preprinted foundations Baravelle spiral blocks, printed templates, sewing instructions and a pattern.
