Beverly's Wedding Quilt

Probably the most traditional quilt I've ever (or will ever) make. The Double Wedding Ring sections were given to me by an elderly quilting friend -- they are vintage 30's fabrics. I pieced the top for my sister Beverly's wedding around 1992 and quilted the colored parts soon after, but then got distracted by moving to New York, and the quilt went untouched for several years. Finally I decided that the only way I would get it finished would be the same way I had quilted previous baby quilts -- put it in a bag and quilt by hand when I was commuting. So I made a bag big enough to carry a queen-size quilt and carried it around with me so I could quilt on the subway. A white quilt. Somehow I managed to keep it clean for the eight months it took to finish it.
