Christmas Star

A quilt commissioned for the holidays, I used Joan Hawley's Lazy Angle template to create the borders, stars and ring. The cream fabric background fabric is Michael Miller's Fairy Frost -- it has a couple of layers of lacquer over the surface that create a shimmering mother-of-pearl effect. In addition to the pieced design, the quilting pattern is my original design as well.
