Amish Bars

Between the 9-patch blocks in Grandma's unfinished quilt tops were quite a few of these strips of three patches. I saved these along with the 9-patch blocks and for quite a while thought about what to do with them. A trip to an exhibit of Amish quilts provided the answer -- three bars, arranged more or less in rainbow order. This was the second quilt I ever made, after finishing the one Grandma was making for me when she died, and until just recently the only quilt I had made for myself.
