In this quilt, I experimented with a single block combining Drunkard's Path with the Fibonacci sequence. When I reached the final layout, it seemed to have an Art Deco feel, so I asked my quilter to incorporate Art Deco elements into her quilting. I went around New York City photographing great Art Deco landmarks like the Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center and the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, then emailed her the photos in Indiana. Working from these, she created original quilting designs.
